Springfield, Mo. WikiLeaks release today has a lot of people worried about their personal information, that hackers could listen in to our smartphones, tablets, even smart TV's.

So should you be worried about someone listening in on your life?

We talked to local experts to give us their take on the recent news.

"I've got an iPhone, iPod, Chromebooks, I've had iPads here and there and just gone between gadget to gadget." Junior at Springfield Catholic High School Brett Maes said.

He said he rarely uses a paper or pencil these days, just his Chromebook and a pencil for a test every once in a while.

"Pretty much everything we do, we have a phone on us 24/7, or cars have GPS, everything you know and everything is based off technology for us now a days," Maes said.

Now that technology is making some people feel more vulnerable than ever, since WikiLeaks revealed the CIA can hack into tech devices.

"Obviously, its a privacy concern, you don't know what's secure to you and you only but you don't know what the power the government has," Maes said.

Ben Petersen is the Owner of Resolve IT Computers.

He said hackers can access your information but odds are low for the average person.

"For most people, it's not an issue because they don't have information that's worth the effort of getting," Petersen said.

Jason Mohler is a Partner at Wireless Trendz.

He said updating your device and protecting your passwords are best ways to protect yourself.

"It's crazy and i'm sure if it's not the government, I'm sure there's other people out there that if they really want it, they can find a way to get it so always update always protect your apps, your data, pass codes," Mohler said.

Experts said while it's a risk to use today's technological wonders the convenience is worth it to most people.
