For years, tablet prices have been at heights where interested buyers ended up leaving retail stores or closing website pages while shaking their heads in disgust. Thanks to Acer, one of the only hardware manufacturers that believes there needs to be a market for budget shoppers and entry-level consumers, they are offering two high performance tablets, in the Iconia One 8 and the Iconia One 10, that come in at price points under $150. Acer says these tablets are perfect for summer travel, in home use and even looking towards back to school. Acer is proving that tablet owners can get quite a lot of "bang for their buck" here in 2016.
"Small on the outside, yet powerful on the inside, this tablet is packed with powerful Quad-Core processing.," says Acer while promoting these units. "The result is outstanding performance and amazing battery life. Smooth Gaming, web browsing, and video never looked so good."
The Iconia One models set up and boot up quickly. The 10.1-inch model is particularly stunning. With a 1280 x 800 display resolution, users get a wide big screen that perfect for gamers, those reading books or parties wanting to binge watch television or online programming. As a bonus, IPS technology gives the Iconia One units wide viewing angles so the display and the content that is relaying can be shared with those around you and with sharp, bright and vivid colors.
Also of mention is the amazing performance and long-lasting battery life. Web browsing was fast and there was no lag in the dozen or so games that it was used to play. Apps from the Google Play store download fast and they reboot back up for use in a mater of seconds. Again, at retail prices of $100 for the "8" and $150 for the "10," these are tablets that every member of the family could make use out of, so buy more than one.
This also might explain in a world where hardware sales are down, Acer is tending upward. Tablets are still the new frontier when it comes to personal computing, but they are helping Acer's bottom line.
"Acer's total U.S. Black Friday unit sales during the week of November 23 increased by more than 25% year-on-year (YoY). Acer had strong Black Friday sales across multiple product categories including Windows-based notebooks and 2-in-1s, Chromebooks, and monitors, selling more than 100,000 units on Black Friday alone," says Acer in a press release.
Amazon reviews, including this one are positive.
It's perfect screen display, nice colors and speed. Always wanted a big tablet and the Acer is all me. A plus for connecting to my Wi Fi so fast! I love the tablet. But if anything changes I will contact Amazon, they are very helpful. I recommended this tablet... Nice! Thank you Acer.
Picking the right piece of hardware isn't an easy endeavor. Acer is striving to not only make the shopping process easy, but then the setting up and operating part of owning a tablet as easy as possible. It all happens at a more than fair price. $100 for a quality tablet? Acer once again, is giving a lot of bang for your buck!
