At Mobile World Congress 2016 in Barcelona, Lenovo announced a slew of new announcements and products, which included a big part of its update on Yoga line-up and a new and unique Ideapad tablet for its users. As well as Lenovo Connect, Android tablets & smartphones
Crammed between major smartphone giant's announcements that were made from LG and Samsung, Lenovo came out guns blazing at MWC, this year. Lenovo announced four new Yoga devices – Lenovo Yoga 710 11'', Yoga 710 14'', Yoga 510 14'' and Yoga 510 15''. And, the latter two will be called Flex 4 in the U.S.
The Chinese company announced two Windows 10 laptops, a Windows 10 tablet, three Android tablets, two Android smartphones, and a comprehensive wireless roaming service, which is called as Lenovo Connect. The new Yoga device brings some enhancements compared to their forerunners in the Yoga line-up, namely Yoga 700 and 500 (or Flex 3 in the U.S.).
Lenovo Yoga's 11-inch variant weighs 710 weighs with 1.07kg and includes 8 hours of battery life with a 14% enhancement in its last version. Lenovo claims for a Core m5 processor as a new option. It's better, bigger and includes a 14-inch brother, which has the same battery life with an Intel Core i7 processor, with an SSD, which has up to 256GB of storage space and includes optional Nvidia GeForce graphics. The Lenovo Yoga 510 14- and 15-inch laptops weighs around 1.75kg and 2.08kg and includes Intel Core i7 processors with an optional AMD Radeon graphics.
With its Lenovo Connect global wireless roaming service, Lenovo is trying gain competitive advantage and works across various devices, networks, and countries namely users in China, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA). Among all the Lenovo Yoga laptops, the newly launched devices have the ability to switch easily between 4 modes of operation - laptop, stand, tent and tablet. At MWC, Lenovo also launched a cost-effective, light weighted 10-inch tablet named as Ideapad MIIX 310. It also includes a removable keyboard with a 10 hours of battery life and 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of storage memory. The Lenovo Yoga 710 models will be available worldwide from this May. And, the pricing will be €799 for the 11-inch model & €899 for the 14-inch one. And, the 14-inch & 15-inch Yoga 510 laptops are expected to arrive one month earlier with the price of €479 and €699, respectively. So, one of the most awaited product of this year is the Ideapad MIIX 310 that will arriv e in June 2016 with a price starting at €269.
