Samsung Galaxy Tab S3: Real Life Image Gives First Glimpse Of The Tablet, MWC Launch Imminent

Samsung may not be launching the Galaxy S8 smartphone at the MWC this month, but invites sent by the company have hinted at the arrival of the Galaxy Tab S3.

Close on the heels of leaks that pointed to the tablet coming with an S Pen stylus in tow, a supposed real life image of the Galaxy Tab S2's successor has leaked online, which offers a peak into the design and specs of the device.

The much-rumored tablet has now reportedly received the green signal from Taiwanese regulatory body - the National Communication Commission (NCC). The Galaxy Tab S3 (SM-T820) has been assigned the registration number CCAH17LP0380T2.

The images from the NCC were shared by Blogofmobile and offer a peek into the design of the device.

A Metal And Glass Build

Judging by the image, it appears that the Galaxy Tab S3 shall be arriving with a design that is based on a glass and metal combination. The amalgamation of both these elements suggests that the tablet shall be prone to scratches and any sort of smudges. So the users probably have to take the initiative in keeping it clean.

Since the tablet may use glass as revealed by the NCC leak, chances are high that if a user accidentally drops the tablet while using it they could crack the screen. The lack of proper grip could make it susceptible to such accidents. Therefore, user's need to be careful while handling the tablet.

The supposed real-life image also shows the presence of a scale measuring the size of the tablet. Reports suggest that Samsung would probably release only a Wi-Fi model of the Galaxy Tab S3.

This is not the first time that the fans have come across a leaked image of the much-talked about Galaxy Tab S3. As reported by Tech Times, the leaked user manual had hinted that the upcoming tablet will come with an S Pen stylus, which would be a standalone accessory. However, no separate slot available for storing this stylus. This feature would be a first for the tablet as the predecessor Galaxy Tab S2 did not offer support for the S Pen.

Interestingly, unlike older leaks, the real life image does not show the presence of an S Pen stylus. Therefore, whether the Galaxy Tab S3 will at all have this stylus is questionable.

Galaxy Tab S3: Rumored Specs

The Galaxy Tab S3 is expected to boast a 9.7-inch AMOLED display having a resolution of 1536 x 2048 pixels.

The tablet may house a Snapdragon 820 processor and 4 GB of RAM. It is also expected to offer 32 GB of on-board storage.

Leaks have pointed to a $580 price tag for the Galaxy Tab S3, which will likely debut at Samsung's press event on Feb. 26.
