RAPID CITY, S.D. (KOTA TV) The Black Hills National Park released a new app available for smartphones and tablets. This free app is an all you need to know guide to the Black Hills.
It features information about all of the parks camp sites, recreational activities, what kind of wildlife you can see in the black hills. A "near me" tab shows you everything from trail heads, picnic areas, visitor centers to fishing areas.
And if you're planning a trip into the hills, the app also shows the weather, any fire alerts and if trails or sites are closed.
