At about 6 a.m. Aug. 22, Scott Boulevard between Vawter School Road and Sawgrass Drive will reopen for local traffic. When that happens, workers then will close the stretch of Scott between Sawgrass and Leighton drives.

The intersection of Scott Boulevard and Thornbrook Ridge — which is between Sawgrass and Leighton drives — will be closed starting Aug. 22. Residents who live on Sawgrass Drive and Stone Grove Court can access their homes from the north. Residents who live on Leighton Drive will be able to access the area from the south.

Motorists traveling southbound and nonmotorized transportation users — including families who need to access Beulah Ralph Elementary School — still can use a detour along Old Mill Creek Road, according to a news release.
