iPhone 7 rumored to be released in September

Evan Blass, previously known for his leak track record, is now shedding some light into the upcoming iPhone's release date. The retired tech celebrity comes back to his Twitter account from time to time to give us a treat, and one of his latest posts says the next iPhone is to be released in September.

Of course, this is no surprise to us by now. Apple has been launching its iPhones in September since the iPhone 5. What's more interesting is that he is giving us a more specific time window: the week of September 12th.

iPhone 2016 release: week of September 12th.

You may also notice Evan refrains himself from calling this upcoming device the iPhone 7. This is because some (including Blass) believe this year's iPhone will come with no number attached to it. Instead, he is calling it the 2016 iPhone, which would go more in line with the naming scheme Apple has been adopting more often as of late.

If you are a tablet aficionado, this also comes as good news to you, as it means plenty of iPads should also get iOS 10 soon after this release. Actually, it might come the very same day!

Only time will tell if this rumor is true or not. For now, let's keep it tuned to TabTimes.com for more rumors and leaks to come, as well as other content surrounding iOS.
