Earlier expectations were that Microsoft might release it with the Surface Pro 5 tablet and the Surface Book 2 laptop, however it now seems that the plans have changed and the release date of the Surface Phone has been moved further by a good few months, and it will be coming out in the March of next year.
For now, the fate of Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 is still largely unknown, though if the contents of the recent leak are accurate, then people may not be hearing about it until early next year.
Even though Surface Pro 4 was widely accepted by tech enthusiasts, the biggest disadvantage of the device was its average battery life.
Others report that the early 2017 release is due to the fact that Microsoft is waiting on the next generation Intel processor chip, the Kaby Lake, to see release for its next generation Tablet as well.
Microsoft has remained silent about the Surface Pro 5 release. The Kaby Lake processors are said to optimize the use of battery power, and will require less heat for all of its work.
First off, the new tablet will reportedly be capable of offering as much as 16GB of RAM, which would match the same upper limit that can be provided by the Surface Pro 4.
We would advise our readers to take the unconfirmed reports with a pinch of salt as nothing yet has been announced about Surface Pro 5 release date, specifications and pricing details. This will help Surface Pro 5 prolong its battery life for more hours compared to Surface Pro 4. There are also options for the buyers to choose the low-end Surface Pro 5 variant although it will have less than 16 GB RAM.
Surface Pro 5 will also get its own improved version of the Surface Pen, a unique USB Type C port and enhanced camera.
Another reason that is cited in multiple reports is that Microsoft is reportedly still not ready to release its latest Windows 10 Redstone operating system just yet.
As for the Surface Pro 5's specs, rumors have pegged the device to be sporting a full 4K display.
Microsoft has been a company which has been around the markets of technology for quite a long time now. An anonymous source told The Country Caller that news are spreading around that Microsoft Surface Pro will be powered by the processor for the next generation of Intel, called "Kaby Lake".
