Google I/O Won't See Next Nexus Device, Here's Why

We remind you that Google has released its latest Nexus 7 tablet back in 2013, which means that it is about time for the company to release a new tablet. Not a terribly hard thing, but it can be finicky from time to time. It might not be a strong point, but this might be a sign that they are paving the way for their newest Nexus 7. Nexus 7 and Nexus 7 Plus would be nice - but the former has already been used for the firm's 7-inch slate.

The rumors circling Google Nexus 2016 release are indicating the possibility of the device to be announced next week onMay 18 at at Google I/O, but Google's silence on the much awaited Nexus 7 tablet's specs, features, price and release date are making fans curious.

Next week will see Google I/O 2016 kick off, and while there is a great deal of expectation in terms of what new features will be coming to Android N, along with its possible name, it's a different story when it comes to hardware.

All this is ignoring just how popular was (and arguably still is) the Nexus 7, of course.

With the increase in rumors about the latest version of Nexus, many industry experts are under the belief that the latest version of Nexus will be released during the upcoming I/O conference. There are many new features worth mentioning that we'll cover and as you're about to see, the Developer Preview 2 is definitely worth trying out if you have access to it. The Nexus 5X and 6P were priced at $379 and $499 for the base models and it's likely that the 2016 Nexus smartphones will be priced in the same range as these handsets.

Both Nexus and Moto X have more or less the same price, according to reports.
