Surface Book, Surface Pro 4 are now Siemens Solid Edge certified

There are also other reports claiming that Microsoft's Surface Pro 5 might even come out sometime later this year, probably around October 2016, while others claim that the release could even be moved until early 2017. We would presume that Microsoft would wish to release it yearly, and allow it to take full advantage of Windows 10 Anniversary Edition, but that could be wishful thinking. It makes sense, Foley said, that Microsoft would want to time the Pro 5 and Book 2 releases with the Redstone 2 deployment to best showcase the software's enhanced features and capabilities.

With possible launch of MacBook Pro at WWDC in June, Microsoft has up the ante and chose to release their Surface Pro 5 just ahead of Apple's big launch, this coming June.

Northern Voice Online reported that the American software giant has made a decision to roll out the tablet hybrid before the release of Apple's MacBook Pro Air and Pro 2016. And it goes without saying that you won't get the same premium experience with a Chinese clone, but many people are willing to trade that in exchange for a better price. According to TechRadar, there is a theory in early 2017 that the upcoming Surface Book will have "Kaby Lake", which is a 14-nanometer processor from Intel.

The devices, however, feature USB 3.0 ports and support for stylus, so it's very clear that it was created to boast the same features as the Surface Book.

The specs under the hood is said to be headed by the Intel's newest Skylake processor.

Microsoft has announced today that its Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book have been certified by Siemens for use with Solid Edge, one of the world's leading CAD programs.

Microsoft also used this opportunity to share an interesting Surface Pro 4 use case through the work of Phillip Norman, an artist and self-taught engineer using a Surface Pro 4 to run his robotics company called Ross Robotics. It was praised by Forbes for its modularity because it can transform into a tablet, notebook, and even a desktop with its docking station.
