Nintendo NX Release Date Is March 2017

Nintendo NX release window was revealed yesterday during its annual financial results meeting. "NX will be launched in March 2017 globally", said Nintendo in a statement sent to MobileSyrup.

The game studio made the announcement via Twitter, saying that the highly anticipated game will come out on the Wii U and the new gaming platform NX sometime next year.

It's fair to say that the tablet-focused Wii U has not been a major hit for Nintendo.

There's also news on Zelda, with the release pushed back to coincide with the arrival of the NX. The company deployed the same tactic in 2006 with "The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess", which was released on both the GameCube and Wii.

We can't fairly call this a delay, since Nintendo hasn't previously set a target for its NX launch.

All of this is expected to be resolved when E3 2016 arrives with Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo officially unveiling their new or upgraded consoles.

With regards to the new Legend Of Zelda release date, this is the first time that Nintendo has stated that the game will be available for the NX.

Any real information on the NX console will have to wait till "later in the year".

Amid a lot of hype and uncertainties, at least one thing's for sure: the so-called Nintendo NX will hit the scene in less than a year.

Nintendo dropped some massive bombs overnight as it hosted a Japanese earnings briefing while the western world was mostly asleep. "Because developers need more time to polish the game, it will launch in 2017, but it will be the focus of Nintendo's presence at E3", confirmed Nintendo in a press release.
