Software giant Microsoft seems to be very keen to launch its next generation Surface Pro tablet in the market. There are reasons to believe that it is in a hurry to do it. A few reports suggest that the company is eager to launch the Surface pro 5 before the eventual arrival of MacBook Pro 2016.

While there were reports that Redmond based Microsoft has deferred the launch of the Surface Pro 5 to next year, now there are reports that the tech giant's next gen tab will arrive before end of the year. It must be kept in mind that its current iteration Surface pro 4 has been a roaring success among both individuals and enterprises.

A report in the leading tech blog ZD Net says that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 are expected to arrive with the Windows 10 Redstone update. According to ZD Net, this next major Windows 10 update, also called Redstone 1, will be available to users by summer this year. The Redstone 1 update will be arriving as the "Windows 10 Anniversary Update."

Other reports suggest that the next generation Surface pro tab, Surface Pro 5 is expected to deliver better battery performance than the Surface Pro 4, which is rigged with battery drainage problems, and feature a USB-Type C slot. Speculations indicate that it will be arriving with a rechargeable magnetic Surface Pen stylus. The device is also expected to house a 13.3-inch screen that will carry support for 4K resolution.

Though there is nothing definite, some reports suggest that the Surface Pro 5 might be released in June 2016. According to The Bitbag, the plan could prove to be a good choice for Redmond-based Microsoft since Cupertino-based tech giant Apple is also reported to unveil the new MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. On the other hand, News Every Day speculates that the release of Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be in 2017 and not this year. According to the report, contrary to rumors about the new hybrid laptop's release in either June or October this year, the company is delaying its launch till early 2017.
