The much-anticipated Rocket League launch for Xbox One is scheduled for next week. Psyonix announced that the game will be released on 17th February, 2016 and the details of the free DLC extras for the Xbox One gamers will also be made along with the release.

In December 2015, Psyonix announced that the game is set to be released in February, 2016; plenty of Xbox One owners were pretty much excited to hear that news. And, now they have confirmed and announced the release date of one of the most popular game for Microsoft's system.

Rocket League is a physics-based vehicle soccer video game, which is developed and published by Psyonix. It's a sequel to 2008's Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.

In this game, players control a rocket-powered car, which is used to hit a ball towards the other team's goal area in order to score points. The ball is actually much larger than the cars. The game in a way resembles a soccer game, and has elements reminiscent of a demolition derby.

The players' cars also have the ability to jump, and thereby possess the unique feature to hit the ball while in midair. One can also pick up a speed boost, which helps in gaining the extra momentum.

Rocket League originally featured single-player and multiplayer modes that can be played either locally or online. It also included cross-platform play between the Microsoft Windows and Sony PlayStation 4 versions. But, unfortunately, the Xbox One version won't feature the cross-platform play.

Exclusive to the Xbox One are two new vehicles. These vehicles are called the 'Armadillo' and 'HogSticker'. Psyonix revealed that the two cars will be based around Halo and Gears of War. Also, the items that are offered up in the game's Garage in order to customize these rides going to include some extras.

DLC is extra content for a video game that a user downloads from the internet. It is either distributed by the game's official publisher, or else by a third party content producer.

The Xbox One release of the game will include all the three DLC packs, which were previously released for other systems. These include Supersonic Fury, Revenge of the Battle-Cars and Chaos Run. With these, users get the advantage to use various premium cars, additional decals, wheels and paint.

Price and Availability of Rocket League

When the game will launch on next Wednesday, all this content will come at the bargain price of $19.99. The game is already available on PC and PlayStation 4.

Rocket League turned out to be the breakout hit of 2015 for both, PC and PS4. Over the course of the summer, it managed more than 5 million downloads. By December 2015, it was also reported that this game has surpassed $50 million in revenue. The game has also won multiple awards in various categories at different ceremonies, held in 2015.
