iPad Air 3 To Pack Smart Connector; To Drop 3D Touch Technology

Rumors regarding the release of iPad air 3 in March are rife.

The latest news, according to blog 9to5mac, suggests that the next iPad will feature iPad pro's smart connector but it is to drop the 3D Touch functionality found in the iPad pro and iPhone.

Apple launched the iPad Pro in November when everybody was expecting the release of iPad Air 3. But recent speculation about its release in March is very high. Most fans and critics are both positive about the tablet's release in the coming month.

The tablet will be nearly as big as iPad Air 2 and it will support Apple accessories like Apple Pencil and Keyboard. The smart connector will enable it to connect to a host of other Apple certified accessories launched by manufacturer Logitech.

To the disappointment of some fans, rumors claim that the tablet does not support 3D touch.

In other news, design leaks suggest that the next iPad will finally come with LED flash for its rear camera for better photography. The leak is a blueprint illustration of the design; the interesting thing is it also features four speakers instead of two. The move to a dual stereo system will greatly benefit iPad Air 3. The dual stereo system first introduced in the iPad pro proved to be a success with most critics lauding its sounds production.

It these two changes do end up in the final design, they will sure enhance the multimedia capabilities of the iPad.

iPad Air 3 was expected to launch last year but Apple introduced the larger screened iPad Pro instead. The next iteration of iPad Air 2 will most probably see the light of day this Mar. 15 at Apple's private event. Another smaller iPhone is also rumored to be ready for launch at the private event.
