New York: With the iPad Air 2 people said that Apple had taken the perfect tablet and somehow made it even better. So where does it go from there? We're not expecting a big leap with the iPad Air 3, but some things are bound to change.
Apple Pencil support
The iPad Air 3 would include support for the Apple Pencil, an active stylus with full pressure sensitivity that lets you sketch and take notes on the tablet's display. The accessory provides a smoother and more natural handwriting experience.
Smart keyboard support
Rumors indicate that the Cupertino-based tech giant might be readying a smaller version of smart keyboard for iPad Air 3. The Smart Keyboard, which has a built-in kickstand that props up your iPad while you type, can augment the iPad Air 3's image as a productivity machine.
Sharper display
The iPad Air 3 is said to have approximately the same dimensions as the iPad Air 2, with a similar 9.7-inch display. But reports suggest that the Cupertino-based firm may be packing a lot more pixels into the new slate's screen, for a resolution as high as 4K.
Four speakers
According to the rumors, the iPad Air 3 could come with 4 speakers, compared to two on the previous model. The extra speakers will make videoconferencing sessions clearer and louder.
Faster performance
The iPad Air 3 will have 4GB of RAM onboard - twice as much RAM as the older iPad Air 2. The extra memory could go a long way toward improving the iPad Air 3's multitasking capabilities.
