iPad Air 3 specs and features leaked: Is Apple set to deliver a surprise? Apple is reportedly working on the iPad Air 3, which according to some reports, would be unveiled in March next year.
The Internet is full of rumors about the specs of the iPad Air 3. It is learned that Apple's new tablet would not come with a pressure-sensitive 3D Touch display because the tech giant is facing problems with the supply chain for the components.
Analyst Kuo said that some major difficulties have been faced by Apple and the situation is described as "one of the most severe production bottlenecks in iPhone 6s supply chain", which is less than 30 percent utilization. Regarding iPad Air 3's price, some reports claimed that the company has decided to freeze the price otherwise the new device won't find many takers.
The decision seems logical too as the market is full of tablets of all kinds and the buyers are willing to buy the device with the most affordable price.
It is likely that in the iPad Air 3, Apple would ditch the 16GB storage variant, which is slammed by fans and reviewers of the Cupertino-based firm.
It is still uncertain if Apple would increase the display size of the iPad Air 3 or not, but the company may increase the resolution to 2,334 x 3,112 pixels, from 1,536 x 2,048 pixels. It is rumored that the new device will sport either A9 or A9X processor.
It is notable that the A9X processor is used on the iPad Pro, which was released recently. The cameras are unlikely to receive an upgrade because the iPad Pro has also not got upgraded cameras. But Apple will definitely make some improvements in the design of iPad Air 3.
