Microsoft may release Surface Pro 4 Windows 10 tablets in two different screen sizes

Microsoft is rumored to launch two new Surface Pro 4 Tablets with Windows 10 later this year. If rumors that are flying around are to be believed Microsoft is going to have a mega-hardware event in October. Microsoft is working actively on two Surface tablets according to a new report. The two tablets are scheduled to be launched by the end of 2015.One of the tablets will have a 12-inch display much akin to Surface Pro -3while the other tablet is believed to have a display of 13 to 14 inches.

The Taiwan-based publication DigiTimes, quoting people in the supply chain has reported that Microsoft has placed orders for two separate sized displays. The report adds that Amazon too has bought some displays. Amazon has placed orders for display panels in 12-inch screen size. It has however placed limited orders for less than 100,000 displays per month.  Amazon is rumored to be working on a new Android -powered Kindle tablet.

Microsoft burnt its fingers with the launch of its first few Surface tablets. However, Microsoft's fortunes changed with the launch of Surface Pro 3. The Surface Pro 3 was a runaway success and has helped the tablet line to rake in profits to the company. Microsoft has already released a low specced version of Surface 3 in March. Perhaps Microsoft is smelling profit and wants to bet big on Surface Tablets.

It is not the first time we hear about a new Surface tablet in the offing. A report last week said that Microsoft is planning a mega-hardware event in October when it will unveil a new Surface Tablet  and also two new Windows Phone –powered handsets (Cityman and Talkman), and the Microsoft Band 2.Another report hinted that Microsoft is also working Surface Mobile handset.

The Surface 3 has carved a niche for itself as the best productivity tablet according to CNET right after its release in 2014.
